North Korea Conducts More Missile Tests

Increase in missile testing follows U.S.-South Korea military drills.

The South Korean military reported that North Korea recently conducted a series of cruise missile launches into the sea. North Korea has attributed its ongoing weapons testing activities to the joint military exercises conducted by the U.S. and South Korea during the summer.

Both South Korean and U.S. intelligence agencies are currently analyzing the specifics of these missile launches off the western coast of North Korea. South Korea has heightened its surveillance and maintains military readiness in close collaboration with the U.S.

These launches occurred shortly after the conclusion of an 11-day training exercise between the U.S. and South Korean militaries. Both countries maintain that the drills were defensive. However, North Korea has interpreted them as a potential prelude to an invasion.

North Korea’s recent activities, including missile launches and attempts to place a military spy satellite in orbit, have drawn international attention and concern.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary Lloyd Austin as he heads the Department of Defense.
  • For the president and his military advisors as they respond to North Korea’s missile testing.
  • For Pentagon officials as they assess the threats posed by North Korea.
